There are few shows as fascinating and unique as Pendleton Ward’s Bravest Warriors. Marked with an animation style that evokes Ward’s previous work, the highly acclaimed Cartoon Network animated series Adventure Time and Netflix’s trippy Midnight Gospel, the Frederator-produced Bravest Warriors follows a group of young heroes as they save adorable aliens in intergalactic adventures and, while doing so, learn about the power of their emotions (not in a figurative way, but in a literal superpower sense) and navigate the challenges of growing up.
Graeme Jokic, Liliana Murphy, Tara Strong, Ian Jones-Quartey, and beloved recurring characters like Catbug, the half-cat, half-ladybug alien that has gained social media popularity and is even expected to get his own spin-off series, deliver great voice performances in this quite endearing series. Additionally, characters traverse interesting locations like a strange yellow planet with creepy puppets, a restroom that is able to project holographic images, or an artificial dimension that imprisons an eldritch worm.
Now everyone can join the adventure.
However, VRV, a streaming service that merged into Crunchyroll last year, exclusively released Seasons 3 and 4 of the series, making it difficult for many audiences that were introduced to the show during its first appearance on YouTube to watch it. Nevertheless, that’s about to change, as Season 4 of Bravest Warriors is returning in a weekly release format and available for the first time for free streaming in the U.S. exclusively on Cartoon Hangover’s YouTube channel. So, now more than ever, it’s an excellent chance to check out this show.
In a press release, Todd Steinmen, President of Toon Media Networks said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring ‘Bravest Warriors’ Season 4 to our dedicated fanbase and new viewers alike. The decision to make this season available on YouTube free of a paywall underscores our commitment to offering quality content to our audience while fostering a sense of community around these fantastic stories.”
This follows some exciting new developments for Bravest Warriors. Last year, TOHO International announced it was acquiring a 50 percent stake in select content and consumer products from Genius Brands’ Frederator Network, including Bravest Warriors and the upcoming series Catbug, so while Season 4 is reportedly the conclusion, there might be more to see in the world of these intergalactic wanderers and their quest to save the innocent, the defenseless, and the adorable.
