‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ trailer: Meet the Spider-force

Get ready to swing into the multiverse because the latest trailer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is here! This highly anticipated sequel promises to take us on a bigger adventure with even higher stakes with the same dazzling and innovative animation style.

The first film of the saga Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced us to a more recent iteration of Spider-Man: Miles Morales which was introduced in 2011 in Marvel’s Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4, voiced by Shameik Moore, who embraced his role and learned ropes (or the spider-webs) with the help of visiting Spider-people from different dimensions. These included the cool Spider-Gwen, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, Nicloas Cage’s hilariously moody Spider-Noir and Spider-Ham, voiced by John Mulaney. The film’s unique artistic vision, combining traditional 2D animation with computer graphics and classic comic book style quickly made it a fan favorite and one of the most remarkable animated films of the last few years. Setting a precedent for innovative animated films like Mitchell’s vs. the Machines and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Now, directors Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, are ready to bring audiences back to this beautifully animated world with even more spider-folks like Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Issa Rae as Spider-Woman and Karan Soni as Spider-man India. Screenwriters Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham are taking the stakes even further as Morales meets mysterious team of new Spider-people tasked with protecting the multiverse known was the Spider-Force which is led by Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara. However, according to the plot description Miles will find himself at odds with this group, and with Haile Steinfeld’ s Spider-Gwen after finding themselves disagreeing about how to handle a new threat.

In this new trailer, we got to see more of the dazzling animation style that has become synonymous with the Spider-Verse movies. This time incorporating more styles and dozens of Spider-people seemingly chasing Miles and Gwen. We also got to see further information about the Spider-Force, how Miles fits, or rather doesn’t, and got a glimpse of the new mysterious threat that its fighting: The Spot, who seemingly can create inter-dimensional portals out of thin air.
